Department of Computer Studies and Automation and College of Engineering and Computer Studies, Pampanga State Agricultural University, Magalang, Pampanga. MONITORING SYSTEM USING RFID." June 2023. "PSAU LIBRARY WEB-BASED Adviser: Dr. Johnny L. Miranda Due to PSAU library's electronic method of typing user information to track student entry and its manual method of using physical record books to write down book loans, returns and penalty transactions, problems are encountered such as inaccuracies to records and human errors. RFID technology attempts to solve these problems. RFID technology has been found to reduce inaccuracies and human errors to management systems with its unique identification process. The main purpose of this study is to develop a library management system that uses RFID technology for the PSAU library to address the problems. The system is web-based that allows the users to: 1) Log in their entry time using RFID. 2) Borrow and return books using RFID. 3) View, print and download records such as login history, borrowed books and penalties reports. 4) Issue an SMS notification to borrowers of books and 5) Add or edit users and book information. Interviews, survey questionnaire, and internet research were used to gather data. During the development of the system, various technologies were used such as: HTML, CSS, Javascript, MySQL, and PHP for the software, RFID scanner and RFID cards for the hardware, and Infinityfree and Infobip for the features of the system. Three (3) IT expets evaluated the functionality and design of the system. Sixty-four (64) students of PSAU and five (5) PSAU library staff evaluated the system using survey questionnaires. Based on the results, the system was found to be effective in providing a better solution to address the encountered problems of the tracking and management of records of the PSAU library staff.
