505	0		_aThe student trainee has undergone farm practice for 30 days from January 04, 2022, to February 06, 2022, at David's Duck Farm, located in San Juan Purok 4, San Luis, Pampanga. Philippine Mallard Duck was the strain of the duck raised on the farm during student training. The birds were bought for P240.00 per head from Llanera, Nueva Ecija. Since the management practice system was a confinement system, the birds were raised inside the layer house. It was constructed with a concrete ground galvanized iron roof. The roof was gable, the most common type for modern poultry houses. It provided the best air circulation and suited the most tropical environment. Duck laying feeds were used to feed the ducks, usually ad libitum. In addition, electrolytic multi-vitamins were used for the medication for the birds. The average daily intake of ducks is 125 grams a day which was given at 8:00 in the morning. Feeds are essential because they maximize ducks' growth rate and feed efficiency-a balanced diet containing adequate nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and proteins. In addition, fresh and clean drinking water will be made available at all times.
