It is very important to show the students the reality about working. The graduating student of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture specializing in Animal science 1s subjected to undergo on-the-job training. In two (2) months of internships, the student-trainee is involved in different dairy farming activities such as, cleaning, feeding, milking, attending health program and other farm management. Student-trainees are also subjected to inculcate all the knowledge and skills they learned throughout the training that they might used in the future. In general, the importance of having farm practices is to be familiarized with the different aspect of dairy farm management and to apply the knowledge learned through actual farm practices. The benefit that the student-trainee can gain during the farm practice then improvement of his technical know-how to managing farm by applying it in real field of farming. Experiencing the actual field of farming may help the student in training and orienting themselves about the work and their future career, especially to those who have a specialization in animal husbandry. | |
