505 0 _aThe aim of this study was to find the performance in euphemizing taboo phases of the AB English IV S.Y. 20152016. It aimed to determine the profile of the respondents as to sex, performance of male and female respondents in euphemizing taboo phrases, and the significant difference between male and female performance in euphemizing taboo phrases. The researcher used the descriptive method of research. It sought to find out the performance of the respondents in euphemizing taboo phrases. Twenty five (25) AB English Senior Students were the respondents of the Study. A questionnaire which consists of two parts: Part I was the survey for the profile of the respondents in terms of sex, and Part II were the test questionnaires in euphemizing taboo phrases. Mean and T-test independent means were used to draw the findings. Based on the results, the male respondents obtained the mean score of 8.4. The highest score obtained was 15 out of 40 points and the lowest score was 1. The female respondents obtained the highest mean score of 11. The highest score obtained was 18 out of 40 points and the lowest score was 3. The female respondents scored higher in euphemizing phrases compared to the male respondents. There was no significant difference between the performance of male and female respondents.
