505 0 _aThe study was conducted to evaluate the management practices of IRC Corn Silage Producer located at Zone 3 Parista, Lupao, Nueva Ecija. Specifically, it aimed to trace the historical background of the firm and management activities in terms of organization, investment, production, marketing and financial aspects; to identify and analyze the problems encountered; to give possible solutions; and to offer recommendations to the existing problems. Primary data were gathered through a series of personal interviews with the owner of the IRC Silage Producer and the evaluation of data that were given by the firm. Specifically, primary data were gathered in the areas of (1) Organization which consists of firms organizational chart, duties and responsibilities and human resource management; (2) Investment which consists of initial capital and its utilization; (3) Production which consists of area and location, inputs that were used in production technology, and process of production; (4) Marketing which consists of the 7 Cs of marketing; (5) Finance which consists of income statements, balance sheets and financial ratios. Secondary data relative to the industry were acquired through different reading materials such as books in the PSAU Library, journals and information from the Internet. Financial statement and ratio were obtained to determine the financial standing of the firm. The result of the analysis showed that the firm is financially stable. Identification and problem analysis were done regarding the organization, production and marketing operations of the firm. The following are the problems encountered by the firm: (1) Lack of manpower for organization; (2) Lack of irrigation for production; and (3) Problems in delivery for marketing. Alternative courses of action were formulated for the existing problems, and recommendations were offered. Based on the evaluation, the following are recommended to improve the business operation of IRC Corn Silage Producer: (1) the owner should hire more proper manpower for the job; (2) the owner should install proper irrigation to maximize crop yield; (3) the owner should purchase quality vehicles for delivery.
