505 0 _aThe study aimed to determine the availability of TLE instructional materials and its effect on the knowledge and skills development of the students in four schools in Cluster IV, namely; Arayat National High School, Don Jesus Gonzales High School, Justino Sevilla High School and Nicanor David Vergara High School during the school year 2011-2012. The descriptive method of research was employed, with the survey questionnaire as the tool for gathering the primary data. The TLE grades of the respondents were obtained from their subject teachers, Findings of the study revealed that the TLE instructional materials were generally available. On the extent of knowledge acquired by the respondents based on their grades, all the respondents had fair performance. They strongly agreed to the skills developed. Statistical treatment revealed, however, that no significant relationship exists between instructional materials and knowledge and skills development of the respondents. Regarding the stated problems as experienced by the teacher-respondents, most agreed to the teacher's lack of know-how in operating laboratory equipment and lack of expertise in their area of specialization. Furthermore, teacher respondents strongly agreed to the _ possible solutions given, among which are the immediate purchase of materials (such as baking tools and equipment) and proper motivation by the administrators to such TLE teachers to pursue graduate studies to upgrade/intensify their knowledge and skills. The findings of this research may be a motivation by school administrators and teachers in improving and Producing more instructional materials and buildings for Students. The findings may also serve as_ baseline information in conducting different respondents. Similar problems but using different respondents.
