500 _aThe farm practice was conducted at 3G Gold Farm in Barangay Sang Pedro, Bangku, Bamban, Tarlac. During the farm practice, the student trainee was exposed to the actual training in swine production and management. It also helped the student to know the different housing facilities, machineries and equipment used in the farm. The student trainee was also given an opportunity to identify the problems encountered in the farm and suggest possible solutions to address these problems. In this training, the student was able to apply the knowledge she learned from school such as semen collection, heat detection, semen processing, artificial insemination, assistance during farrowing, tail docking, teeth clipping, surgical castration, iron injection, feeding management, vaccination and giving medications. At the time of training, the average litter size at birth was 10.25 piglets, average number of still birth is 0.027, average number of mummified is 0.031, average birth weight is 1.52 kg, average weaning weight is 7.22 kg, average weaning day is 30 days, weaning percentage is 94.72%, percentage mortality is 5.58%, farrowing index is 2.33, average gestation period is 114.29 days, average post weaning estrus is 7.71 days, farrowing interval is 156.38 days, average litter size at weaning is 9.71 piglets, and lost days is 4.38 days.
