500 _aNatural products have therapeutic benefit in treating diseases. Most drugs are derived from natural products because of their bioactive components and plants are considered less toxic and free from side effects. From the antibacterial property exhibited by different guava extracts, this study sought to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration of young and mature guava leaves ethanolic extracts using resazurin assay and formulate ointments made from its ethanolic leaf extract of young and mature leaves then evaluate the antibacterial potential of ethanolic extracts of guava leaves ointments using agar-well diffusion method and modified rideal walker coefficient test. Results revealed that the minimum inhibitory concentration of both young and mature guava leaves ethanolic extracts is 1000ug/ml. On the other hand, the antibacterial potential of ethanolic extract of guava leaves ointments using agar-well diffusion method against S. aureus was found to be inactive with an 8-9 mm zone of inhibition. Moreover, the antibacterial potential of guava leaves ointments using modified Rideal-Walker coefficient method was found that all guava ointments are comparable with T+ which is Clindamycin against S. aureus.
