500 _aThe study aimed to evaluate the antioxidant, mutagenicity and anti-mutagenicity potentials of PSAU Aglibut Sweet Tamarind (Tamarind indica) barks and leaves using DPPH assay and micronucleus test. The Aglibut Sweet tamarind bark has higher antioxidant potential of 9.68 mcg/ml. There is a significant difference in the MPCEs produced by the different treatments. Aglibut sweet tamarind bark produced MPCEs comparable to distilled water, hence non-mutagenic. There is a significant reduction in the chrome breaking potential of Mitomycin-C when given in combination with the Aglibut sweet tamarind bark, hence anti-mutagenic.
