This study was conducted at Mapifia, Magalang for 21 days to determine the acceptance of mineral blocks using different materials to the carabaos. The test carabaos were given two treatments to consume the mineral block at certain period of time. The data gathered was used to determine the consumption, feed intake and palatability rate. Average Mean, Standard Deviation, and T-test were used as statistical tools to analyze the given data. Results show the comparison in consumption between two treatments. Mineral block (T2) has higher average consumption of the carabaos with a value of 635.10g than mineral block (T1) with a value of 536.67g. Using T-test, it reveals that the treatments were not significant at 95% level of significance since p-value is higher than 0.05, which is 0.097 and mineral block (T2) has higher standard deviation than mineral block (T1) with a value of 497.81g and 277.46g, respectively. The feed imtake of the carabaos in both treatments became faster compared before it was given mineral blocks. There was a difference in palatability of mineral blocks between two treatments. Mineral block (T2) is «ore palatable compared to mineral block (T1), with a value of 127.02g and 107.33g, espectively. T-test, revealed that the treatments were not significant at 95% level of ignificance since p-value is higher than 0.05, which is 0.097. Also, treatment 2 has igher standard deviation than treatment 1 with a value of 99.56g and 55.49¢, spectively. The total cost of producing 110 mineral blocks for treatment 1 was Php 2,040.50 d the total cost of producing 110 mineral blocks for treatment 2 was Php 2,132.00. The st difference between treatments was Php 91.50.
