Pampanga State Agricultural University, PAC, Magalang, Pampanga. Adviser: FRANCISCO B. SIMBULAN JR, M.S.A This manuscript is about the management practices and production system in piggery farm at Golden hog Farm. The training is to assess the prevailing pig production management practices in the Golden Hog Farm. The general care and management practices include cutting of needle teeth, weaning of piglets, castration, care to pregnant sow, care after farrowing, treatment of non-conceived sows, cleaning of pen and marketing. Three phases of swine production are breeding, farrowing and post weaning (grow-out period prior to slaughter). Each of these phases requires special knowledge, good observation skills, and attention to detail. Heat detection, breeding and farrowing sows takes quite a bit of management skill.
