An on-the-job/farm practice in a piggery farm was conducted at 3G Gold Farm located at Barangay San Pedro, Bangku Bamban, Tarlac from April to June 2019. The student trainee was able to experience the hands-on activities in a piggery farm. This was also important for the trainee to practice her knowledge acquired from the classroom and apply it during her field practice. Throughout the field practice, the student trainee learned the different production practices inside the farm including the semen collection, heat detection, semen processing, artificial insemination, farrowing managem,ent like taking care of sows before and after farrowing, care and management of the piglets, tail docking, cutting the needle teeth, administration of iron supplement, vitamins and vaccines. At the time of training, average litter size at birth is 11.7 piglets, average number of still birth is 0.027, average number of mummified is 0.047, average birth weight is 1.54, average weaning weight is 7.67 kg, average weaning day is 30 days, weaning percentage is 91.45%, percentage mortality is 8.54%, farrowing index is 2.34, average gestation period is 114.25 days, average post weaning estrus is 5.9 days, farrowing interval is 156.25 days, average litter size at weaning is 10.07 piglets, and lost days is 5.9 days.
