ABSTRACT ANTIBACTERIAL POTENTIALS OF Title 2 THE PARTIAL FRACTIONS OF MANILA PALM (Adonidia merrillii) researcher 2 RACHELLE SIGUA MAVARRO School 2 Parpanga State Agricultural University teyree : Bachelor of Science in Biology Cate Completed April 2019 ee ea Edviser Ma. Socorro C. Tuazon, M.P.S. The study aimed to evaluate the antibacterial potentials of the tial fracticns of Manila P2lm(Adonidia merrillii) leaves. Specifically, scousit to answer if tkere is any significant difference between the ougn 3 of inhibition of the partial fractions and control group against Lsckerichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. nm Kupchan Method was used to partition the dichloromethane, hexane and rethanol leef extract. Partitions were then tested for their antibacterial activity using Disk Diffusion Method (Kirby-Bauer). Results showed that lezfé extrects did not exhibited zones of inhibition against Escherichia coli ard Staphylococcus aureus, therefore Manila Palm partial fractions (4ichlorcrethane, hexane and methanol) have no antibacterial potentials.
