The farm practice was conducted primarily to expose the student to the actual hands-on management and operation of poultry production through training on technical and managerial aspects of production, principles and practices and to familiarize the student with actual operation and management of MP Three Poultry Farm. The actual training was from April to June 2018 at MP Three Poultry Farm, Purok 2, Barangay Lagare, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. The activities and management methods performed in the farm were: Bio-security, brooding management, growing management, feeding and water management, lighting management, heat stress management, air and ventilation program, medication and vaccination program, hauling of birds, manure management and other management such as record keeping, loading of chicks, preparation of buildings before loading of chicks, sanitation and disinfection. At the start of the farm practice, the animal population of all the cobb 500 birds in MP Three Poultry Farm was 65,298 heads and in the last inventory (May) was 62,424 heads. The decrease in the inventory was due to the number of mortality at 4.4% during the growing period of production. The total number of mortality was 2,874 heads. The initial average live weight was 46 grams. The birds consumed 133,950 kg of feeds with the feed conversion ratio of l.47 to gain the average live weight of 1.46 kg after 31 days. The farm harvest recovery was at 95.6%. The performance of broilers raised at MP Three Poultry Farm had good percentage mortality and feed conversion ratio yet it had poor final weight based on broiler production standards.
