To achieve this, 163 household members of Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4P's) from barangay Sta. Lucia, Magalang, Pampanga were surveyed through quantitative research. Majority of the respondents were from ages 40-49 years old. Most of them were females and high school graduates. Their montly incomes were not less than P9,520. Television was their main source of information towards generic medicines followed by the drugstore. The results of the study showed that the respondents were knowledgeable and have positive attitude and good practices towards generic medicines. It manifested that sex, educational attainment and monthly income of the respondents were co-related to their frequency exposure of information toward generic medicines. In addition, respondents' attitudes and practices have significant relationship to their exposure to source if information to generic medicines. Moreover, the respondents' knowledge, attitude on generic medicines are significantly co-related as well as their attitude and practices. As such, it is recommended that the Department of Health should intensify further community-=based activities and seminars/campaign which can strengthen the behavior intention of generic medicines consumption.
