ABSTRACT GARCLA, SEAN EZEKIELT. Department of Resource Engincering and Agricultural Mechanization, College of Engineering and Computer Studies, Pampanga State Agricultural University, Magalang, Pampanga. June 2023, "Design, Fabrication and Testing of a Cabinet-Type Mango Dehyd rator using Peltier Modules" Adviser: Engr. Anthony Nicdao This study is about exploring the possibilities of using Peltier modules as heat and dehydration source in hot air dehydrators for mangoes. It is entitled "Design Fabrication and Testing of a Cabinet-Type Mango Dehydrator." A cabinet-type dehydrating machine, along with its digital controls and electrical circuitry was designed and fabricated and tested by varying degrees of air mass flow rates, and performance. Mass air flows differ by 2 g/sec; 8, 6 and 4 g/sec. The machine thermostatic controls were set to 60 C during the entire testing. Testing results showed no difference in drying capacities and total electrical consumption for the three tested mass air flow. The machine was found to be 4.65% efficient and can dry a3 kg unprocessed ripe mango in 10.63 hours and dry out an average of 0.05228 kg of moisture per hour. A cost analysis found that the machine has an annual benefit of 697. 86 Php per year, and the use of the machine can result in a breakeven point after 4.62 months of operation every year.
