ABSTRACT GALANG JEROME P. 2022 "GROWTH PERFORMANCE OF WHITE CORN APPLIED WITH DIFFERENT LEVELS OF CALCIUM NITRATE" Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Pampanga State Agricultural University, Magalang, Pampanga. Adviser: ADRIANB. BANTEGUI, M.S.A The field study was conducted from April 2022 to June 2022 at Parulung, Concepcion, Tarlac to evaluate the yield of corn ears applied with different levels calcium nitrate. The experimental design was used is Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four treatment replicated three times. The following treatments used were as follows: T Farmers practice, T: Recommended rate of calcium nitrate, T, 30% Higher than recommended rate of calcium nitrate, T4 60% higher than the recommended rate of calcium nitrate. Each treatment was replicated three times. The results of the study revealed that significant difference was observed on the weight of non-marketable corn ears. T; and T4 produced the lowest weight of non- marketable corn ears. No significant were observed in terms of plant height, number of days from sowing to silking, number of days from sowing to tasseling, weight of husked corn ears, weight of unhusk ears, length of corn ears, diameters of corn ears, weight of marketable corn ears and actual yield per plot/treatment. In conclusion, T> (Recommended rate of calcium nitrate) and T4 (60% higher than the recommended rate of calcium nitrate) was effective in producing the lowest non- marketable corn ears. In cost and return analysis shows that Tị (Farmers Practice) registered the highest net income with a corresponding Php 257,69 5/ha. On the other hand insignificant results were noticed in terms of plant height, number of days from sowing to silking, number of days from sowing to tasseling, weight of husked com ears, weight of unhusk ears, length of corn ears, diameters of corn ears, weight of marketable com ears and actual yield per plot/treatment.
