A farm practice in commercial piggery was conducted in Duquit Mabalacat, Pampanga on April 15 to May 26, 2019. During the training, the student was able to experience the management practices on swine production. The student also applied the knowledge learned from school to actual operation in the farm. The student's skills and knowledge were broadened through the actual experience in the farm. Some of these skills were assistance during farrowing, teeth clipping, tail docking, caring of umbilical cord and castration. The student was also assigned in feeding, bathing, vaccinating of the pigs, performing semen collection, semen processing, and preparing semen for sow to inseminate and heat detection. The comparison between the farm performance and production standard revealed as the Litter Index, Average litter size, and Mortality were rated "AVERAGE", while Stillbirth was rated "GOOD".
