The study was conducted at the Barangay San Pablo Sta Ana Pampanga from June 13 to July 28, 2021 to determine the effects of different pretreatment on the germination and initial growth of Dao /Dracontomelon dao (Blanco) Merr. & Rolfe]Seeds. a total of 600 seeds were used. Experiment was laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four (4) treatment namely, (T1) control: untreated; (T2) wet and Dry for days, (soaking in Tap water within 12 hours and Air dry again with another 12 hours). (T3) Soaking in Tap water in 24 hours; (T4) Scarification and tap water. Seeds was scratched with sand paper and will be soak for 24 hours in tap water. The treatment was replicated three (3) times. 50 seeds were used for every treatment. The following results of analysis variance revealed there is parameters were significantly affected by the different pre-treatment used, in terms of Germinative Capacity (computed fvalue=5.22) and Average plant height at day 8 with (computed f-value=6.27) respectively. While the others parameter in Germination on Dao seeds including Germination Percentage with a mean of T1-54.67, T2-67.33, T3-62.67, and T4-60.67, Germinative energy with a mean of T1-14.67, T2-12.67, T3-12.00, and T4-12.67, Energy Period with a mean of T1-7.33, T2-6.33, T3-6.00, and T4-6.33 and Mortality percentage were observed any significant differences among the treatment used. In term of Initial Growth parameter, the average of plant height at day 1 and day 15, 22. Average Number of leaves at day 1, 8, and Average Stem Diameter at day 1, 8 and 22 and 29 were not significant across the treatment used.
