The farm practice was conducted to prepare the students with hand on experience and to acquire more knowledge and skills in swine production. The farm practice was conducted from April 23 to May 31, 2019 and the 3G Gold Farm, Barangay San Pedro, Bangko, Bamban, Tarlac. In this farm practice, the student trainee was exposed to the management practices of the farm such as: tail docking, teeth clipping, castration, semen collection, processing the semen with extender, artificial insemination, evaluating the semen, vaccination and medication for the hogs. The student trainee worked in the farm like the laborers to know all the procedures done inside the farm and how it operates. During the training, everage litter size at birth is 10.25 piglets, average number of still birth is 0.25, average number of mummified is 0.20%, average birth weight is 1.54 kg, average litter size at weaning is 9.75, average weaning weight is 6.79, average weaning age is 30 days, weaning percentage is 93.30%, average post weaning estrus is 7.05, average gestation period is 114.15 days, lost days is 4.2 days, farrowing interval is 155.4, farrowing index or litter index is 2.35 mortality from birth to weaning is 6.15%.
