PEDIONGCO A farm practice in a swine farm was conducted at Golden Hog Farm at Mabalacat, Angeles, Pampanga, from April 14, 2018 to May 20, 2018. The farm practice enabled the trainee to experience the different management practices employed in a hog farm and was able to apply what was taught in the classroom to the actual field of operation. During this field practice, the trainee was able to acquire skills and gain knowledge in the proper handling and management practices and procedures such as preparation for breeding, farrowing, feeds and feeding of pigs, proper vaccination of different ages of pigs, administration of vitamins and antibiotics, castration of piglets, ear notching, needle teeth cutting, and tail docking.
