OLALIA This study was conducted in Pampanga State Agricultural University in order to develop a tamarind thematic map. A total of 582 :amarind trees were recorded inside the campus. And the study aimed to develop a database information in terms of age, soil pH, variety and yield of tamarind trees in PSAU. The oldest Tamarind tree that was recorded is 37 years old. During its 7" year, a tamarind tree will already start bear a tamarind fruits. It is suitable to grow tamarind trees in acidic type of soil. In PSAU, soil pH ranges from 4.2 to 5.8 making it suitable for tamarind production. There are different varieties of Tamarind that are available in different location in PSAU namely Aglibut Sweet Tamarind, Semi-sweet Tamarind, Sweet Tamarind and the So Tamarind. ' 37 year old tamarind tree can produce 50-60 kilos. While a 7 year old tamarind tree can bear as much as 10 kilogram of tamarind fruit. The total annual harvest ofta -rind fruit in PSAU was 19,000 kilograms.
