The farm practice was conducted at 3G Gold Farm in Brgy. San Pedro, Bangku, Bamban, Tarlac. During the farm practice, the student trainee were exposed to the actual and hands-on training in swine production and management. It also helped the student to identify the different housing facilities, machineries and equipment used in the farm. The student trainee had experienced the problems encountered in the farm and sought for possible solutions that can help for improvement of the farm. Through this training, the student can apply the knowledge gained such as semen collection, heat detection, semen processing, artificial insemination, assistance during farrowing, tail docking, teeth clipping, surgical castration, iron injection, feeding management, vaccinations and giving medications. At the time of training, average litter size at birth is 10.45 piglets, average number of still birth is 0.20, average number of mummified is 0.40, average birth weight is 1.40 kg, average weaning weight is 6.64 kg, average weaning day is 30 days, weaning percentage is 89.47%, percentage mortality is 7.66%, farrowing index is 2.28, average gestation period is 114.25 days, average post weaning estrus is 7.1 days, farrowing interval is l59.75 days, average litter size at weaning is 9.35 piglets, and lost days is 8.4 days.
