JEWEL FRITZ Q. BALENTON, Department of Geodetic Engineering, College of Engineering and Computer Studies, Pampanga State Agricultural University. July 2021, "INTEGRATION OF GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEM-BASED MAPPING IN ASSESSING THE DEVELOPMENT OF POLITICIZED ANCESTRAL LANDS OF AETAS MAG-ANTS! OF MABALACAT CITY." Adviser: Rosemarie S. Macmac, MBM, GE, REA, REB This study focused on the sustainable development of the politicized lands of the Aetas or the CADT 025-A Mabalacat City side. The study aimed to generate a map that shows the development that are spearheaded by the government, non-government, and IPs that can be found inside the Aetas lands. The researcher also aimed to determine the issues and problems the Aetas face while registering their lands, the existing JMA, the illegal conveyance of the lands, and the continuous increase of the non-IPs residing inside the ancestral domain. By determining the effects and help of the projects present inside the CADT 025-A, this research answered certain problems of the Aetas on their ancestral domain. It was concluded that the lack of knowledge of the Aetas living inside the CADT 025-A, particularly those residing on the Mabalacat Side, became the main reason for their problems such as the registration of their lands, the illegal selling of lands, and the increment of non-IPs inside the ancestral domain. Aetas' lack of knowledge regarding their rights has led them to let their lands be leased or bought by non-IPs. tt was also inferred from this study that the Aetas are satisfied with the effects of the projects that are spearheaded by the government and IP on their well-being, the help given, and the protection provided. Aetas feel safe with all the projects that give importance to their culture, rights, education, health, and livelihood. But with the nongovernment projects, Aetas are slightly satisfied and afraid of their security with the presence of the private sectors' project inside their lands. Such fear has been brought about by the Aetas' previous experience of feeling threatened with the presence of private investors.
