TI - Management Practices of Pipit Aviary PY - 2022/// CY - Magalang, Pampanga PB - Pampanga State Agricultural University N1 - The study was conducted at Pipit Aviary located in Barangay San Nicolas Magalang, Pampanga. It provides information concerning the management operation of the firm, in terms of investments, organization, production, marketing and finance. Primary data were gathered through scrics of personal intervicws with the owner of Pipit Aviary. The needed data were on the areas of (1) investment, which consisted investment activities; (2) organization, composed of organizational chart, dutics and responsibilities as well as human resource management; (3) operation, consisted the firm area, location and production process or the opcration flow chart; (4) marketing, which composed of 7 C's of marketing: and (5) finance, consisted income statement and balance sheet. Secondary data were gathered from available litcratures and other reading materials, such as from the Internet and libraries. The firm is a sole proprietorship type of business registered under the name Pipit Aviary whose the owner is Mr. Raji Jomari Maliwat. Problem identification and analysis was done regarding the organization and operation of the firm. The following are the problems encountered by the firm in terms of organization; (1) The owner is pressured because he carries all the major workload in the firm. (2) The sales representative is not fully literate or aware with avian lovebirds. (3) Lack of manpower. (4) The firm was not expanding overtime. In terms of marketing; (1) The firm was facing increased competition. (2) There was no logistics that could be an option for customers that cannot do meet ups and customers that are living far away wants to purchase birds from firm. Alternative courses of action were formulated for the existing problems of the firm. Based on evaluation, the following are recommended to improve the business operation of Pipit Aviary: for organization; the owner should hire a manager who is equipped in managing this type of firm, the owner should hire sales representative that have background in taking care of avian lovebirds, the owner should hire manpower in order to have more sustainable environment for lovebirds, the owner should find a place that can be far from the owner's locality wherein there are less competitors; for marketing; the owner should offer more bird supplies like cages, feeds and supplements and the owner should find reliable logistics partner so that the customers online who were living far away can make who cannot do meet ups can avail door to door delivery ER -
