TI - Laying Performance of Japanese Seattle Quails Fed by Mash and Crumble as Effected by Time Regimes of Feeding PY - 2022/// CY - Magalang, Pampanga PB - Pampanga State Agricultural University N1 - The study aimed to evaluate the effect of feed form and different feeding time regimes on the laying performance of Japanese Seattle quails. Specifically, it sought to determine the influence of the said factors on the total egg production, mean percentage of hen-day and hen-housed egg production, egg weight, feed intake, feed conversion ratio (FCR) per kilogram (kg) of egg 31 mass and per dozen of eggs, and mortality rate of quails. To achieve the present objectives, 312 fifty-eight (58) days old quails were used and Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) was applied - resulting in the distribution of 13 bird heads per treatment used. Based on the findings, the different time regimes and feed forms utilized im the study have affected the egg weight, PCR per egg mass and per egg dozen, and feed imake efficiency of Japanese Seattle quails. However, no significant effect was found in terms of the birds' total egg production. Thus, exploring different time regimes of feeding was found to potentially save feed cost but may also result in the same, if not lower, egg produce ER -
