TI - Free Mobile Disaster Alerts: A Kap Analysis PY - 2020/// CY - Magalang, Pampanga PB - Pampanga State Agricultural University N1 - The general objective of the study was to analyze the knowledge, attitudes and practices of the households towards free mobile disaster alerts. Using the quantitative approach, 380 households from barangay San Isidro, Magalang, Pampanga were given questionnaires through an online platform. Majority of the respondents age ranges from 22-32 years old. Most of them were female and were college graduates. The results of the study revealed that the respondents were knowledgeable, have positive attitude and good practices towards free mobile disaster alerts. Most of the variables do not have significant relationship with each other, except for the attitude and sex of the respondents. It was also discovered that there is high significance between the respondents attitude and their practices towards free mobile disaster alerts. Hence, it is recommended that the government agencies (national and local) along with telecommunication companies have to come up with strategies that would make the free mobile disaster alerts more usable to the audience affected by disasters. In addition, the households are recommended to attend or to participate to seminars regarding free mobile disaster alerts to gain knowledge and have better understanding on free mobile disaster alerts ER -
