The study was conducted to identify what species of Odonatans were present in the selected sites of Candaba Swamp; and to determine the effects of the environmental factors of the area on the distribution and occurrence of Odonatans. Descriptive method of research was designed to gather information about the present conditions. The inventory of Odonatans was done through rapid biodiversity assessment. The species diversity, cluster analysis and cannonical correspondence analysis were determined using Paleontological Statistics Software (PAST) and the correlation was done using SPSS. The study revealed that there were eight species thriving in selected sites of Candaba Swamp: Ischnura sp., Ischnura cf senegalensis, Pseudagrion sp., Diplacina sp., Orthetrum sabina, Tholymis tillarga, Diplacodes trivialis. Species richness showed a low value (10) but a very high species diversity (l.95). Canonical correspondence analysis showed that environmental factors such as water pH and temperature, air temperature and humidity affect the abundance of the species. It also appears that pollution limits the occurrences and abundance of Odonatans.
