Real property tax is one of the main sources of revenue for the municipality of Magalang, Pampanga. This tax is paid annually by the owners of real properties to the city or municipal treasurer's office. San Pedro 1 is developing rapidly amongst the barangays of the municipality of Magalang, therefore, the need of automated real property tax management system and mapping is recommended in order to collect, and add more revenues and to develop the municipality faster. The GIS-based real property tax management system and mapping is focused on converting the conventional way of recording, managing, and mapping of real property tax easier and faster. The new system will help the municipal assessor reduce the process for updating data records and tax maps. The new system also tracks the owners of real properties who are paying and not paying tax easily, and to determine easily the land classification of parcels and land distribution of the barangay by generating different thematic maps. The GIS-based real property tax management system and mapping of barangay San Pedro 1, Magalang, Pampanga used different applications (MapInfo, QGIS, Microsoft Office, and AutoCad) to create easier and efficient services to the offices and to the people of the municipality. Several GIS and AutoCad techniques were performed. After the study was conducted, the findings show that the system can easily record and update the data files. Finding problems regarding real property taxes and analyzing the situation about the area are easier. Therefore, more revenues will be recovered by the municipality if automated management will be used.
