ABSTRACT This study examines the relationship between college outcomes and employability of geodetic engineering graduates at public universities and colleges (SUCS) in Central Luzon, Philippines. The aim is to close the gap between the skills and competencies of fresh graduates and the requirements of the thriving construction and real estate industry. A quantitative approach was used to assess student outcomes at the participating SUCS, namely Bulacan State Agricultural University, Pampanga State Agricultural University and Tarlac Agricultural University. In addition, the factors influencing hiring decisions in both the private sector and government agencies were examined. A stratified hands-on sample was used that included 2018-2022 graduates, with 38 samples from Bulacan State Agricultural University, 33 from Pampanga State Agricultural University, and 52 from Tarlac Agricultural University. Ten private companies and four government agencies participated in the study to identify the factors influencing their hiring decisions. A relationship was observed between program educational goals, student outcomes and employability. The universities' average overall score for each program's educational goals served as a determinant of employability. It should be noted, however, that employment rates differed between respondents, even when student outcomes at universities were similar. In addition, higher professional registration rates correlated with higher employment rates among graduates. These results underscore the importance of aligning program educational goals with student outcomes to improve geodetic employability. Recommendations based on the study results aim to close the gap between academia and industry and ultimately improve graduates' career prospects.
