BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BIOLOGY MAJOR IN ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE. Pampanga State Agricultural University. Adviser: Prof. Janet D. Hidalgo Plastic garbage has grown to be a significant problem in recent years, both on land and at sea. Plastic has gone from being praised as a scientific marvel to being despised as an cnvironmental disaster in just a little over a century. Over the past year, public attention has been drawn to the major issues in Asia and the abundance of floating plastic found in mid- 0ccan, as well as ocean and river plastic. Since there may be more plastic in the occan by 2050 than fish, there has been a great deal of attention paid to the growing number of plastic debris that is being dumped on the planet. This study generally aimed to determine how plastic waste can be managed and to assess whether this K.A.P can be implemented in the said Barangay that will result in a significant reduction of plastic waste in the community. The rescarcher conducted a survey to determine the knowledge, attitude, and practices of the houscholds of the Barangay Pulung Maragul towards plastic waste management. The total respondents of the survey is 360 households of Barangay Pulung Maragul. And the survey questionnaires include the demographic profile of the respondents, en (10) questions for the knowledge, ten (10) questions for the attitude and, ten (10) questions for the practices. The statistical tool that were used were SPSS were Frequency, Percentage, Median, Cramer's V, -value, and p-value were also used. Based from the results in demographic profile, most of the respondents were age between 41-and above 128 (35.5%), and most of the respondents were female 206 (57.22%). In terms of the civil status, majority of the respondents were married 182 (50.56). Most of the respondents were High School Graduates 143 (40%). Around 279 (78%) of the respondents in terms of their income were below 10,957. In terms of the No. of Household member, most of the respondents are between on 5-6 members 158 (44%). The results showed that most of the respondents are had knowledge in terms of the possible effect of the plastic waste in their community. Based on the median score in attitude, Barangay Pulung Maragul answered Agree which means they have positive attitude towards plastic waste management and quite negative towards practices of the plastic waste management. However, there is no significant relationship between the age, educational attainment, monthly income, household, sex and civil status to the K.A.P of the respondents.
