DE LEON, MBM : PAMPANGA STATE AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY : BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP Rider's Haven is a merchandising business that mostly deals with motorcycle parts and essentials such as: oils, lubricants, continuously variable transmission parts, OEM parts, protectants, and etc. It was operated by its sole proprietor, Nico S. Cortez. The store was located in BIk G Lot 8E, Sta. Lucia Resettlement, Magalang, Pampanga, situated in a corner lot near the Sta.Lucia-Madapdap toll gate. The initial capital of the business was P65,000.00 which was used to purchase furniture and fixtures, supplies, and merchandise to sell. On the BPI2 implementation, the business started with P46,00 1.00 and the remaining inventory from the previous semester. Due to the variety of products the business offered; the products ranged from P10.00 to P3,050.00. Rider's Haven has encountered multitudes of problem and circumstances during its operation such as: (1) The lack of manpower and the inability of the owner to drive; (2) increasing prices, especially oil products which was caused by country's continuous inflation and other geopolitical events such as: the war on Ukraine and oil embargo of Russian oil; and (3) absence of services which the business can offer compared to its competitors. The entrepreneur has taken some solutions regarding the problems such: (1) persuasion of customer to visit the store instead or have the delivery man transport the goods; (2) offering of alternative brands which have better prices and performance; and (3) selling products that were not commonly available in the area while also offering them a relatively lower price compared to its competitors in other areas and bringing convenience. Though the solutions did not completely solve the problems, it has managed to alleviate some of its effects. Rider's Haven's operating period has managed to earn a total of P17,145.00 as net income. In the first operating period of January, Rider's Haven has managed to earn P3,506.00. In February, the store earned P5,948.00 on net income. Finally, in the third month, the business has managed to gain a P7,691.00 in net income.
