ABSTRACT TITLE MANAGEMENT PRACTICES OF ALEXANDRA BAKESHOP 1 AUTHOR ADVISER SCHOOL 1 SHEM-IRENE-JAE OCAMPO IBE FERNANDO C. PANGILINAN, M.B.M. PAMPANGA STATE AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY 1 DEGREE : BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN AGRICULTURAL BUSINESS YEAR COMPLETED : JUNE 2023 In general, the study was conducted to evaluate the management practices of Alexandra Bakeshop, located in Pampang Public Market, Angeles City, Pampanga. Specifically, it sought to trace the historical background of the firm and the management activities such as investment, organization, production, marketing, and financing, to identify and analyze the problems encountered, to give possible solutions, and to offer recommendations to existing problems. Primary data were gathered through a series of a personal interviews with the owner and some of the employees of Alexandra Bakeshop. The data collected came from the areas of investment, organization, production, marketing, and finance. The firm studied is a sole proprietorship business registered under the name of Alexandra Bakeshop. It is a manufacturer, wholesaler, and retailer business owned and managed by Mr. Randolph Sangrador. It has three workers, two bakers, and a sales representative. The firm makes burger buns, small buns, hotdog rolls, and footlong rolls. The raw materials used are flour, angel yeast, shortening, margarine, sugar, water, and salt. The firm uses packaging materials such as plastic bags and crates for the delivery of products. It also has enough tools and equipment used in processing. After the production process, the firm delivers the products to its respective buyers. The problems of the firm in terms of an organization are lack of mandatory benefits and lack of personnel. The problems in terms of production are workers not wearing appropriate attire in the working area, and multiple sources of raw materials. In terms of marketing: lack of marketing promotions. The researcher made alternative courses of action for these problems and recommended the improvement and success of the firm. In the problems encountered in the organization, the researcher recommends providing mandatory benefits. For the other problem, the researcher recommends hiring more bakers and secretaries that can help the owner and old employees to lessen their workloads. For the problems encountered in production, the researcher recommends that the owner will impose mandatory uniforms. For the second problem, the researcher recommends sticking to only one supplier. And for the problem encountered in marketing, the researcher recommends improving their packaging, so that customers will easily recognize their products, and improve sales.
