MATUTINO : PAMPANGA STATE AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY :BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP YEAR COMPLETED :JUNE 2023 SHACKS was located at Sitio Canatba, Sapalibutad, Angeles City. The business opened from Monday - Wednesday and Friday - Saturday between 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. The business firm was named "SHACKS" meaning a combination of shake and snacks with a tagline "Tipid sa Bulsa Pero Hindi Tipid sa Lasa". SHACKS offered different snacks like burger, cheese burger, hotdog sandwich, siomai, fries, ham and cheese, shake and salted peanuts. The price for each product ranged from Php. 10.00 - 50.00. The initial investment of the entrepreneur was P15,000.00 It was used to buy the raw materials and tools and equipment. The problems encountered were: (1) since the business was a sole proprietorship, it lacked work force; (2) the entrepreneur promoted the business through social media but no one seemed to be interested online; (3) there were a lot of competitors within the area which caused the division of consumers; (4) the spoilage of some raw ingredients and unsteady price of ingredients and materials; and (5) lack of different government permit. To cope up with the problems the owner had done the following solutions: (1) sought help from parents and siblings to help him during their free time and compensate them accordingly; (2) the entrepreneur posted tarpaulin and continue in promoting the business through word of mouth; (3) assessed the competitors and tried different promotions and strategies to get more customers; (4) the entrepreneur became a "suki" of certain sellers to get lower cost and secured fresh ingredients and good materials; and (5) he asked his grandmother who works at the barangay to help him get a business permit.
