"WEB-BASED BOOKING SYSTEM FOR BARBERSHOP AND BEAUTY SALON IN MAGALANG, PAMPANGA". Adviser: Melanie A. Crisostormo MIT. The aim of the study was to develop a Web-Based Booking System for Babershop and Beauty Salon in Magalang, Pampanga. The traditional way of booking through phone calls or online messaging are still huge help for most salons and babershops in reservation. However, the researchers developed this online booking system for barbershop and salons to help them reach more customers and properly manage their schedule or calendars. The barbershops and beauty salons in Magalang, Pampanga are still using manual way of reservation. Most of the time if there are more customers, the customers tend to wait for hours to be done for the servíce they wanted. With the online b0oking system, the customers can view the schedule of the babershops and salons per employee. Customers will be able to book in the available schedule of their desired employee. With the application, the customers no need to wait in line anymore. The customer can just arrive in the booked appointment, therefore, the customer can do other things while waiting for the appointment. The barbershop and salon owners will also be able to manage and fill more of their calendars because they will be able to see which of the employee are available. The study was conducted using the research and development methodology. With the development of the study, the application was developed using the structured Waterfall Model which started from planning, analysis, development, and testing. The online booking system was developed using mysql as the database, PHP scripting language, and Bootstrap for the template designs. The researchers used descriptive survey method ology to obtain the perspective of the customers, owners, and IT experts regarding the online booking system. The customers are strongly agreed (3.64 weighted mean) that the system was helpful for them so they can do other task while waiting for the appointment. They also able to see the reliability of the barbershop/beauty salon because of the rating features that the system has. The owners are strongly agreed (3.56 weighted mean) that the system helps them to manage their calendars and able to serve more customers without making them waiting in line for long hours. With the obtain results, customers and users find the developed online booking system for salons and barbershop in Magalang, Pampanga is helpful and helps them experience the advantage of such technology.
