ABSTRACT LEAD CONTENT OF HOUSEHOLD GROUNDWATER SUPPLY IN MRF OF MAGALANG In sToO. ROSARIO MAGALANG, PAMPANGA Title Researcher ANNETH R. LAYUG os School oe Pampanga State Agricultural University Magalang, Pampanga Degree Bachelor of Science in Biology Date Completed Adviser EVELYN B. CAJUCOM The study aimed to identify the concentration of lead of the groundwater sources of household in the vicinity of Material Recovery Facility of Magalang; determine the significant relationship between the concentration of lead and the depth of the water pumps within the vicinity of Material Recovery Facility of Magalang; and, determine the effect of the distance of the water pumps in the concentration of lead in the groundwater sources in the site. Results showed that the lead concentration of the water samples from five stations are all <0.005 ppm. The lead concentration is not affected by the estimated depth of waterpipes and distance from the arbitrary reference point from the Material Recovery Facility of Magalang. Thus, the water supply in the study site is acceptable for Philippine National Drinking Water Standard (2007) in terms of lead content.
