The study was conducted at Pamela Capena De Guzman Vegetable Trading located in Barangay Santa Cruz, Porac, Pampanga. It gives information about the management practices of the firm in terms of investments, organization, production, marketing and finance. The study was designed to consider herb and green-leafed vegetable farming as a basis for launching a new business. For academics, this will act as a resource for individuals planning to conduct related studies on this topic. Primary data and information were gathered through a series of personal interviews with the owner of Pamela De Guzman Vegetable Trading and employees of Pamela Capena De Guzman Vegetable Trading. The needed data were on the areas of (1) investment, which consisted investment activities; (2) organization, composed of organizational chart, duties and responsibilities as well as human resource management; (3) operation, which consisted the firm area, location and production process or the operation flow chart; (4) marketing, which composed of 7 Cs of marketing; and (5) finance, which was comprised with income statement and balance sheet. Secondary data was gathered from current data available on the Internet such as the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and other reliable sources. The firm is a sole proprietorship type of business registered under the name Pamela Capena De Guzman Vegetable Trading. The business is managed by Mrs. Pamela De Guzman. Problem identification and analysis were determined in relation to the organization, production, and marketing of the firm. The following are the problems encountered by the firm: (1) in organization: lack of record keeping and below minimum wage of employees' salaries; (2) in production, yields were destroyed and wasted; and (3) in marketing, lack of promotion of the products. Alternative courses of action were formulated for the existing problems of the firm. Based on the evaluation, the following recommendations are made to improve Pamela Capena De Guzman Vegetable Trading's business operations: for organization, the firm may hire a bookkeeper. The owner should study, familiarize, and train in basic bookkeeping. She can raise employee wages to the minimum wage and reward them with incentives and bonuses. For production, sell products to nearby different districts or public markets and build a greenhouse or use plastic mulch in the garden. Lastly, for marketing, advertise on Facebook pages and attend trade fairs, seminars, and training.
