A crime is an action that directly contradicts a state law and is viewed negatively by society. There is no way to escape the fact that crime occurs daily that is why the researcher conducted the study entitled "A GIS-Based Study: Spatial Analysis of Criminal Cases Hotspots in Valenzuela City" to lessen the crime cases in the community. The study aim to know the criminal hotspots of index crime in Valenzuela City and to know the factors why the area become a criminal hotspots. Quantitative descriptive is the research design of the study. The different criminal cases were map based on the data from Philippine National Police (PNP) of Valenzuela. To obtain the factors affecting the area, the researcher conducted a survey to the members of PNP of Valenzuela. The result of the study stated that the criminal hotspots in Valenzuela are located in Karuhatan, Hen. T. de Leon, Ugong and Viente Reales. Based on the survey, some factors that affect the area are population density, many commercial establishments, crowded places, insufficient number of cameras and streetlights in the area. The researcher concluded that the most committed index crime in Valenzuela City is Theft. In order to reduce crime cases in the area, the researcher recommends the local authorities to increase surveillance in their community on a regular basis. Additionally, the local authorities may take steps to reduce the number of crimes committed over the previous years after taking into account the reasons why the area became a criminal hotspot.
