The study was conducted from March to June 2021 at the vacant lot of Uminga's Residence, Barangay Corazon de Jesus, Concepcion, Tarlac to determine germination capacity and initial growth performance of Ipil and Supa seeds using different pretreatments. Four hundred eighty (480) seed were used: 240 Ipil seeds and 240 supa seeds. Treatments were arranged in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) namely: AlNo treatment, A2-Hot and Tap Water, A3Scarification, and A4-Scarification and Tap Water. The treatments were replicated three times. The result of Ipil seeds disclosed that the germination percentage, germinative capacity, germinative energy were highly significant, while the energy period was not significant. Therefore, the result of supa seeds revealed that highly significant was found in germination percentage, significant was germinative energy, and not significant was germinative capacity and energy period. For Ipil seeds, A4-Scarification and Tap water gave the highest germination percentage of 93.33%, germinative capacity of 100%, while in germinative energy, A3Scarification gave the highest mean of 30.00%, and Al-No treatment obtained the highest energy period of 15 days. While in supa seeds, A4-Scarification and Tap water showed the highest germination percentage of 40%, germinative energy of 38.33%, energy period of 27.33 days, and A2-Hot and Tap water was indicated the highest germination capacity of 81.67%. Number of leaves, Plant height and Plant diameter revealed in both Ipil and supa plants was obviously increases every ten (10) days from day zero (0) to day sixty (60).
