This study was conducted to develop and validate a self-learning module in Afro-Asian literature utilizing research and development design. The construction of the modules involved the examination of the learning competencies of the K-12 Curriculum guide for Grade 8, the identification and selection of reference materials, collection of sources to be included, and crafting of the module. The validation stage involved the evaluation made by the experts on the essential topics, content, design or format, and pedagogy of the module using the Evaluation Instrument and Rating Sheet for DE and ODeL provided by the Graduate Studies of Pampanga Agricultural State University. The validation resulted to the seventy-four (74) topics regarded as essential, while all the statements under _ content, design or format, and pedagogy were agreed by the experts. It is highly recommended that the crafted self-learning module may be adopted by DepEd to serve as supplementary teaching material that could complement the teaching of Afro-Asian literature among grade 8 students and can serve as a solution to the issues of lack of materials in English 8. Keywords: development, validation, self-learning module, afro-asian literature.
