The study was conducted from the whole month of April at Don Edmundo Environmental Foundation at Barangay San Juan Basilio, Arayat, Pampanga, This was established in the year of 1995. A total land area of 4 hectares located at a south part of Mt. Arayat. The study aimed to select good mother trees of Mahogany [Swietenia macrophylla (G.) King] using the standard selection criteria (stem straightness, stem forking, stem circularity, tree health) which was developed by the Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (DENR). All standing Mahogany categorize a large pole with a diameter of 30-70cm above are subjected for the inventory. A total of 423 mahogany trees was measured and assessed at Don Edmundo Environmental Foundation. The study revealed the following; in terms of average height and diameter at breast height were 14.20 meters and 17.83cm respectively. The highest tree measured was 24 meters and the biggest diameter was 41 cm. Out of 423 Mahogany trees only 9 satisfied the criteria of DENR Administrative Order 2010-11 for the assessment.
