This study aimed to develop and validate a supplemental teacher's manual in Anglo American literature. Quantitative and Developmental designs were employed in the conduct of the study. There were 10 Grade 9 English teachers from the Division of Pampanga who evaluated the essential and non-essential topics included in the Supplemental Manual. The manual included the literary works which are not found in the existing teacher's guide, the background of the literary work, strategies in teaching literature, and all necessary information required for teaching and further knowledge of the lessons. The developed manual was then validated by one Education Program Supervisor, one principal, one head teacher, one master teacher, and six English teachers who are master's degree holders. The manual included 13 topics and was designed in line with the existing teacher's guide, including a title page/cover, foreword, definition of terms, and literary lessons. Each lesson included subtopics such as suggested strategies, suggested activities, author and historical background, literary text, comprehension questions, literary elements, and additional references. The validation revealed that the supplemental manual is valid in terms of content, format, and pedagogy. Furthermore, the developed supplemental manual augments the existing teacher's guide in English 9 by including necessary information and references which cannot be found from the existing guide. Finally, the developed material is valid and can be subject to further development and validation in future research.
