The farm practice was conducted in Golden Hog Farm located at Duquit, Mabalacat, Pampanga from April 15, 2019 to May 26, 2019. The farm practice enables the student-trainee to know how commercial farm runs or being managed. It is also meant to expose the students in actual situation in the farm, such as: semen collection; semen processing, artificial insemination; ear tagging; ear notching; castration; and also medication of the farm animals. Her stay in the farm gave her knowledge on management of a swine production that she can apply in the future. The farm reproductive parameters such as litter index, litter size, still birth, mummified and mortality were all rated good standards. The number of facilities and pens are enough to accommodate all the animals. However, there are some problems in the farm like lack of biosecurity, mortality of the piglets due to crushing, improper monitoring, damage parts of the pens, lack of labourer in the farm and labourer's lack of knowledge on proper handling of the animals during transferring.
