This farm practice was conducted at a dairy cattle farm in Inosloban, Lipa City, Batangas from June 19 to August 2, 2019. The student trainee was exposed to a combination of experimental learning experiences and meaningful supervised work aimed at enhancing his technical knowledge and honing his practical skills needed to manage a sustainable dairy cattle farm. The trainee learned about milking procedures and the use of milking equipment, feeds and feeding of farm animals, breeds and breeding practices, and taking care of calves, among others. The farm practice made this trainee realize that like any other business enterprise, a dairy farm is not free from problems and challenges. Finally, an analysis of the farm's cost and returns gave this trainee a general idea of the profitability of engaging in a dairy farm.
