This study was conducted to determine the gross and histological changes on selected organs of chicken layers (Gallus gallus domesticus) given magnetised water with nano-sulfur. A total of 144 chicken layers were allocated into four different treatments (T1 - plain water, T2 - plain water plus nano-sulfur C, T3 - magnetised water, and T4 - magnetised water plus nano-sulfur) with three replicates each and a duration of two months treatment period. Two chicken layers from each treatment were selected for necropsy to determine the gross and microscopic characteristics of selected organs. Chicken layers treated with magnetised water (T3) were heavier than the other treatment groups. The breast muscles of chickens in T3 were also heavier while those treated with nano-sulfur (T2) were lighter in weight. The length and weight of kidneys treated with magnetised water (T3) were significantly different from other treatments. Liver of chickens in all treatment groups showed different lesions such as discolouration, pallor, and hemorrhages. Reproductive organs showed differences in size and weight which had a relative effect on the total body weight of the animal; said differences in size in all treatments are all normal with regard to their body weight. All microscopic findings were normal except for the liver which demonstrated moderate to severe hepatocellular degeneration and necrosis seen as cellular swelling with characteristic cytoplasmolysis in all treatment groups. Histologically, the reproductive organs of birds from all treatment groups showed no differences from each other.
