A farm practice in piggery farm was conducted in Trinoma Farm at Sta. Lucia, Magalang, Pampanga from April 27, 2018 to June 04, 2018. The farm practice enabled the trainee to experience the production system and management practices employed in a swine farm and apply what is taught in the classroom to actual field of operation. In the duration of the field practice, the trainee was able to acquire skills and gain knowledge in the production system and management practices such as pre-farrowing preparations, cutting the needle teeth, tail docking, prevention of nutritional anemia, castration, weaning, cleaning and bathing. Including also the feeds and feeding of the animals, breeds and breeding method and system in the farm such as semen collection, artificial insemination process.
