The farm practice was conducted to determine the performance of a commercial swine farm. It was conducted from April 23 to June 5, 2018 at Wonderful Farm in Sitio Kawili-Wili, Cut-cut 2nd Capas, Tarlac. In the large amount of time that we spend in farm, we more able to gain all the knowledge and skills that we have to learn with regards to the different management practices of a commercial swine farm. In breeding section, the student trainee, learned how to collect semen of boar, performed artificial insemination, vaccination, and medication of sick and pregnant sows. In farrowing section, he performed ear notching, tail docking, castration and cutting needle teeth. In nursery section, he learned the type and system of feeding, cleaning practice, and most of all injecting the piglets with vitamins and antibiotics. In grower section, he learned how to inject vitamins, antibiotics and other medications/drugs.
