The farm practice was conducted at Department of Agriculture Philippine Carabao Center Gene Pool and National Headquarters located at CLSU Science City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija from April 10 to May 30, 2017. The student trainee was able to experience different management practices in buffalo production. This enabled him to apply the knowledge that he had gained in school in actual skills development. The trainee was exposed in different coral on how to manage the Bulgarian murrah buffaloes, how to provide medication and vaccinate sick animals in the farm. The trainee also learned records keeping, estimation, operating the milking parlour, procedure when milking, restraining the farm animals, collecting blood and colostrum, making Urea treated rice straw, ear tagging, perform California Mastitis Test, deworming, culling of stocks, ultrasound buffalo and diagnosing pregnant animals.
