The farm practice was conducted at Boston Ridge Farm at Sitio Mano Barangay Anupul, Bamban, Tarlac from April 24, 2019 to June 03, 2019. The farm practice allowed the student trainee to learn a lot and develop her skills in the proper handling of the animals and management practices, like heat detection, semen collection, artificial insemination, pregnancy testing, castration, tail docking, cutting of the needle teeth, ear notching and the medication of the farm animals. This experience in the farm gave the student trainee knowledge in management of swine production that she can use in the future and may likewise improve her skills in the farm. The farm's reproductive parameters such as litter index, still birth, mummified, pre-weaning mortality, litter size and alive animals attained a good standard. The number of facilities and pen are enough to accommodate all the animals inside the farm. The tools and equipment are likewise enough to handle the farrowing and nursery units. Proper sanitation in the breeding area were also observed.
