The study entitled "Assessment of the Implementation of RA9653 in San Agustin, Magalang, Pampanga: A Basis for GIS Based Map" was presented to the College of Resource Engineering Automation and Mechanization. The study aimed to assess the implementation of RA 9653 or the Rent Control Act on rental boarding houses in San Agustin, Magalang, Pampanga which served as a basis for the Geographic Information System (GIS)-based map. San Agustin, Magalang, Pampanga caters the housing needs of students and workers because of its proximity to the University. The study used exploratory-descriptive method. Angle Cam Application, Google Earth and QGIS were used for creating and verifying the locations of the rental boarding houses in San Agustin. Survey was conducted for the lessors and lessees through guided interview. Based on the study, a total of 39 rental boarding houses in San Agustin, and 19 rental boarding houses do not have permit, while 20 of them have permits. All of the lessors that demand rental deposit did not follow the provisions under Section 7 which is the Rent and Requirement of Bank Deposit of the Rent Control Act. with the results of the assessment; a GIS-based map was created. The rental boarding houses were classified according to the designated color in the produced output map.
